Another One Bites The Dust!!! (finished quilt project that is!!)

Here is the finished quilt from the front!!! (yeah!! I love it when I get things done)

This is a sample for the quilt shop I work for. I machined quilted it on my Bernina.

I LOVE all my quilt backs to be pieced. I use all the leftovers from the front for my backs.

My Mom came bearing gifts for me!!! She loves to crochet doilies. So she brought me several shapes and sizes. The center is 3 doilies, in 3 sizes. The smallest is the size of a quarter. She also made the WELCOME banner. I'm truly blessed to have a MOM who makes me wonderful gifts. Our family visit went very well. Sadly, it was way to short. But, there is always next year :):):)
Here is my wonderful MOM!

THANK YOU MOM!!!  HUGS AND KISSES!!

Hi Sandra, Welcome to blogland! I love your new finish. So much movement in the front. The back is equally cool! Thanks for stopping by my blog today.

PS I have a historical question:
Is it true that when the underground railroad was active that homes that would hide run-aways would hang a log cabin quilt on the line with a black center square in the middle of the bottom square. This was to signal to the run-aways that this was a safe house??? I have been told this several times but not by a quilter. Just wondering. Hey what a neat post to do!!!!

Ok, Now I see the crochet. It's Filet Crochet. You use a chart to follow the pattern. It's very pretty. Let me know when she brings more. I enjoy looking at it.

Oh, and your quilt is amazing...I didn't know you worked in a quilt shop until you mentioned it was sample for the shop.

I've got a Babylock Esante sewing/embroidery machine. It sews real smooth and has never given a minutes trouble...However, the Bernina is the dream machine! When I hit the lottery I'm getting the biggest badist Bernina...LOL I think I just invented a new word.

Hugs,
Stephanie ♥
