Quilt Giveaway!!!

Yes!!!... I am going to give this quilt away!!!.... I have thoroughly enjoyed my introduction into blog land.  To celebrate that I almost have 75 followers. (wow, by the way!!)  I thought I would share some love and give away one of my quilts. This is a 23"x23" quilt. That I pieced and quilted myself. Here is a close up of this little treasure.

There is a little sparkle in the quilt. I used sticklers on the snow to make it shimmer. I don't think the camera picked it up. But it is there. :o)
Now, I know it is a little early for Christmas stuff, but I wanted to give this little quilt away to say thank you for following me. And the only two quilts I have to give away happen to be Christmas quilts. :o)

Step #1  Leave me a comment about your favorite Christmas present EVER!!!  Step # 2 Become a follower.  If you are already a follower let me know in your comment. That's it!! I will pull a name from all the comments on November 1st..... I would be very grateful to everyone if you would spread the word about my give away.. ... And, there is another chance to win one more quilt....as I have another little Christmas quilt I will give away to celebrate 100 followers.

I am very THANKFUL to everyone who follows me and leaves comments on this blog of mine. I truly love hanging out with everyone, and getting to know so many of you. And the inspiration that I glean from all of you is just AWESOME!! There are some very talented Blogger's in blog land :o)

This give away is now closed! And this quilt has flown away to its new home.

What a beautiful gift to give away! You are very generous. The best gift that I have ever received was my Kitchenaid Mixer ~ I know that sounds materialistic but... I wanted it so that I could do some baking with my boys again. I haven't been feeling well enough to bake with them for a long time... with the mixer we just add the ingredients together, mix them up then bake. I can actual bake with them again so it is a tremendous blessing.
Hugs Sandra. Thanks so much for this beautiful chance to win your gorgeous quilt.
Hugs and blessings (I'm already a follower)

I love your little quilt! I just finished two little Christmas Candle Mats--can't show them yet as they are for an exchange! I am so happy for you that blogland has totally embraced you. YEAH! My favorite Christmases are spent with family, great food and company. And of course, our goofy gift exchange!

Oh Sandie, You are so very special and generous...you amaze me with your talent and your overwhelming generosity...I think people in blog land will gravitate towards you for your positivity and your love! Your quilt is absolutely stunning...as I've said before, is there anything you can't do? My favorite Christmas was when we were all together and my husband, who is an awesome and talented woodworker, surprised me with an oak china cabinet so that I could display the Christmas china I had been collecting for years. I love everything about Christmas, so with the china cabinet, I get to see my Christmas china all year long. How wonderful is that!

That is a gorgeous quilt!

My favorite Christmas present ever is hands down the Europe trip that some friends of mine invited me on. Four weeks in Germany and England! It was truly magical.

Oh how wonderful Sandie! I would LOVE the opportunity to win your beautiful artwork... and Christmas to boot!! That would be a thrill!

I think one of my favorite memories was the year that I drove my old falling apart car to my mom's house for Christmas and my grandparents surprised me with a new one! They had our neighbor drive it up the street with a big red bow on top! I was 24 years old and just tickled to pieces. My grandparents were so sweet and they made me promise not to tell the other grandkids. I never did either. :)

Hope you're having a great day! I'm already a follower too.

Hugs,
Holly

Favourite christmas gift? Many! But I'll never forget the first christmas with our (adopted) boys. My husband and I put them under the tree, all dressed up in their Christmas best, for a picture. One was 7months old, the other 3 months old and we looked at each other: Best gift EVER! :)

Your little quilt is so wonderful, I would love to have it in my home. My best Christmas present ever was the year my DH surprised me with a ruby and diamond ring to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary, and he gave it to me 5 months early hidden in a pair of tennis shoes :)!!

Gracious, what a gorgeous mini-quilt!! I just became a follower; I got here from gracie's blog. It sounds like you two had a fun meet-up. My favorite Christmas present EVER was when my hubby gave me a piano because he knew I played when I was in high school!!

Our first baby girl was born to us in 2001 on December 23. She wasn't due until Jan 1, but God decided we needed her for Christmas! I love your blog. I just spent some time reading your previous posts and commenting here and there. I'm taking your button to my blog if you don't mind :) Oh, and yes, I'm your newest follower. Love the Christmas quilt.

You definitely received the best Christmas present ever--I cannot top that!

I absolutely love your quilt giveaway and would be so honored to own one of your quilts! That is an adorable Christmas quilt and would be perfect hanging in my family room!

I think the best Christmas present I ever received was my black lab. My father took me to pick it up in a snowstorm, I was about six at the time and always remember the ride to and from and holding him the whole way home. His name was Midnight and he provided 16 years of love and companionship. My dad passed away at the age of 48, I was only 9 and I remember all of our special times. Thanks,

Hi, I would love to win. My favorite Xmas was when I was 9y/o. My dad was a truck driver in L.A., Calif. and the truckers were on strike for about a month and a half. We didn't think we would have Xmas. We didn't have a tree or any lights up that Xmas. However, on Dec. 23rd evening, three guys from my dad's union came to the house with a tree and presents for my brother and me. They were wrapped wonderfully. They gave my mom a certificate to Safeway's to get a turkey.
I was a wonderful surprise. I don't have a blog but I love to read them. crangellaw@yahoo.com-momcindy on flkr I would love to be a follower

What a lovely and thoughtful giveaway! My best Christmas gift was to have my son home for Christmas! He was born 6 weeks early and spend some time in the NICU. He came home several days before Christmas. I was also in the hospital for several weeks and missed Thanksgiving. It was great to be home with my older son for the holiday.

Oh I just love your blog and follow you. Although I'm not sure I have offically signed up - and I can't find it on your site to double check. There's no link, and there's no link at the top left of your blog. Maybe tomorrow when I'm at work I'll be able to find it. Different computers show different things. Anyway, I would LOVE to win the quilt. It's adorable and plus it was made by you! So special!! Thanks for the give-away. My greatest present is my family.

My best present ever, I get over and over every year. It's my family coming to spend the day. I just can't get enough, and that is all I ever want. Every thing else seems so insignificant.
Love your blog and thanks for the giveaway. You are very generous.

Sandie - Congrats on 75+ Followers - though this is no surprise as your blog is such a fun place to visit!

My favourite Christmas present ever...my new Janome last year! It is very cool and has been a faithful buddy as I learn how to be a stay-at-home-mum/wife/woman after 30 years of work!

Hi Sandie,

Just discovered your blog, coming across from Grace's blog. I have just become a follower. I would love the chance to win your gorgeous Christmas quilt. You have a lovely blog and it is going to be fun to follow you. You know have over 80 followers - congratulations.

Glad that you are enjoying blogland - I am relatively new to it and find it lots of fun - everyone is so nice and supportive. It is great following everyone's crafty journeys.

My best Christmas present ever is the year I was 12 and my parents gave me a transistor radio (long before ipods) for Christmas. Oh boy, how I had longed for that radio - it was my little piece of heaven that year. I cried when they gave it to me, I was so happy.

Hugs, Kaye xoxox

What a lovely little quilt to be giving away! My favorite Christmas present was a lovely set of wind chimes my husband got me one year. They were too nice to put outside, so they hang in the house inside the one window where the summer wind makes them blow. I'm a follower too! :0)

We've been in exactly that position - and there have been a few times when we thought our babies were going to be lost to us - but prayer and the power of positive thinking has got us through each time - we have 10 in our family now. The last two little ones came for three days and just over three years later we are waiting for the day the judge says the same - it's coming soon, but don't think it will be a Christmas present this year. Maybe a New Year present. That news is a feeling that is not able to be put into words - relief, joy, exhilaration, sadness (for what they have been through to come into the foster care system) and lots and lots of love.

Take care

Marg

I'm now a follower - and now to actually answer your question - the best Christmas ever. I think the one that stands out in my mind was the Christmas before I started school - many, many years ago. I got lots of things for school - like coloured pencils, erasers, etc. But I got a doll i called Elizabeth Jane. In today's terms she was a very ordinary doll but she remained a favourite until I was an adult. I'll never forget opening my Christmas sack that year and finding her there - truly the most wonderful feeling ever. Thank you for bringing that feeling back - I haven't thought about it in such a long time.

I don't think I can compete with your greatest Christmas present ever - but then, who can! So I guess I will have to take a trip back to the time of childhood, when all presents are so much more magical and remember the feeling when I was about 11 or 12 and got a proper, grown-up record player for Christmas. I was SO excited. I'd been wanting one for ages... Wish I could still get that excited about presents now - the way my "baby" (who is 8) does when he has a birthday or Christmas!

Anyway, would love to be part of your giveaway and I'll sign up to be a follower, though I read the blogs I read in google reader...

Thanks again for the ATC swap - love my cards.

Thanks for the comment on my block! You are the nicest person! I will have to say my most favorite Christmas gift I ever received had to be my everyday china set that my mother-in-law bought me. I was newly engaged and the china really enforced the idea that I would soon be getting married. It was a Christmas full of expectations for my future and it was just magical. I am already a follower and just love your blog!

Adorable quilt and looking through your blogs is just super inspiring! I'm definitely a follower now. My favorite Christmas present ever was a pair of Head skis from mom and dad. Dad wrote up little hints with each little gift leading up to them andsent me on a treasure hunt...while i was out tryong to find another clue he put the skis by the tree, so i'd find them when i got back in the house! It was so fun and one of my all time most orecious memories of my dad. Thabks for letting me recall that. Thabks for the opportunity and have a great day
