Making A Scrappy Quiltie and Giveaway!!

I am doing a Quiltie class this morning again. I love teaching the Ladies who come to the class every month, and trying to get them to jump out of their quilting box from time to time :):) It's fun to try something new..right??? Here is a small tutorial about how I go about putting a bunch of scraps together. I am just playing and having FUN!! ....Enjoy!!
First... grab a bunch of scraps, and press them flat.

Now you want to trim them up into any shape you want. I place the pieces on a fusible batting. (or you can use spray stuff too)  Then I iron them down with a HOT iron.

Then the edges that are over lapping the other fabrics need to be glued down. I use Tombo Mono Aqua Liquid Glue. ( I love this glue) It works great with fabric. You can find it a Joann's and other craft stores. I place a little bit on the edges of the fabric, press it down with my fingers...then I place my iron on it to make sure it is completely dry.

Awesome glue.

Then I flip over the project and trim the edges to the batting!! Add a back, and get ready for quilting and adding lots of fun stuff :):)

I start adding yarns, ribbons, and all kinds of yummy things.

I put my machine on a tiny little zigzag and hold my yarn and just let the yarn flow over the project.

Here is the final piece...can I add anything more?.... this is were I have a hard time...when do I stop. :):)

But...I'm not done yet!!

Here I have flipped over the piece and chop it up to the size pieces that I want. 2 (4x6) pieces, and 2 (atc's). It is always a mystery at this point...I can't see the other who knows what will show up when I turn them over :):)

Cool pieces right!! It is so fun to try and use your scraps up by just playing with the leftover pieces. At this time I will finish the edges, and add embellishments. (the bling:)

Here is finished quiltie # 1
