My House Is Upside Down and a Peek In My Journal

So, after living here for 2 years...I have finally talked my hubby into some renovation on the house:):) I am a bath girl and have not a bathtub in this house for 2 years. Above you can see the wall with a door on it...that is the potty and shower....no more!!!! Its gone!!!!!
Here they are taking out the yucky floor that was curling up in places and catching our toes....OUCH!!!
The old vanity is gone...a new one is coming...and that wall is going next!!!!
and here is were the shower once stood....I have a very deep tub coming...for some serious soaking!!!
                                                                  ......new floors:):)
....see, that potty wall is gone...it makes the room look so much bigger:):) And my new vanity...just waiting for the granite to come and be placed:):)
....sigh....I have been staring at this baby for 3 days......wishing the water was hooked up!!!!!!
...here's a close up of my border trim.....love the textures:):)
...and I know I fit...cause when the boys left the other day...with this big box sitting in my room...you know I had to try it out....LOL!!!!!!! This is me about to become a very happy camper:):)

and finally a peek into my journals...
...you see I have been stuck here at the house while they do their work on my house...and I am reduced to just this space to art....currently in this photo I'm working on 4 journals at once:):)
....I think my faces are getting better:):) My dear friend Kelly does wonderful faces...and this is me trying to copy one of her faces...she totally inspires me:):)

In a few days I will do a journal post...I have only gotten a dozen pages done now:):)

Hope all is well you...
Much love- Sandie

You and I have a lot in common...but not when it comes to bathrooms. When we moved here I had the tub ripped out and replaced with a huge shower.
I am not a fan of a vanity and the clutter that lands there so I ripped that out too and put in ONE pedestal sink. I never understood two sinks.
Your renovation is coming along quickly and everything looks great !
Now on to your face.....
LOVE LOVE LOVE it !
and your journals are fantastic !

I like your tile.. this is looking good! I understand why your husband had to be "talked into" a big remodel... it's such a turmoil of a time. We had our bath remodeled in the spring, and my glass tile accent strip is quite similar to yours. I love the result and am glad I did it. But you feel as if you don't have life, or are holding your breath while it gets done. Journals look very nice, and a good place to hide out & lose yourself while remodel is happening.

How exciting to turn it in to exactly what you want it to be: comfort and joy!!

The new flooring is beautiful. I know the bathroom remodel is going to be so fabulous. I, too, love to soak in a hot tub. Oh, to have a hot tub in the back yard. Not to be, though. Your journals are always a joy to see. Your face painting is wonderful. Great artwork, as always. And great color.

That bathroom is going to be a joy! That's about the first thing we did to our house when we moved in. Although our space is pretty small and no way would a big (or small) bathtub fit in! Oh well. There's one in the house but it doesn't get used much. I love how you used music for the background of the face. Excellent journals.
