Construction....Yeah!!!!

Well, I know my posts are few and far between now....lots of construction going on in my house right now. I came back from Paris...to my new studio being worked on!!! Yeah!!! It was a tinker shop that runs down the side of my house. The previous owners had it as a wood working shop. We...are converting it into an art studio:):)

....here is what it looked like a week ago....
....and as of last night...it has an A/C unit....electricity for sewing machines, irons, and anything else I might need to do...and walls :):)   Did you notice the garage door is now gone!!! A french door was put in its place.....YES!!!
Do you see the new door on the right? That goes into my kitchen in the house:) The Drywall guys are here again this morning to finish the job. The tile goes in tomorrow...by later next week I can move in!!! Yeah!!

Any way.....not much art is getting done..cause I can't leave the house...and all my stuff is at the art condo:):) By December I will be able to bring ALL my supplies and art things under one roof again!!!! YES!!! I'm ready for my quilting/fabric/sewing side to be in the same place as my paint/papers/mixedmedia side. I just want to be able to sit down and art...no matter what mood I'm in:):)

Hope every one is having a great week:):)
Much love- Sandie

How fabulous!! The french doors are so perfect and totally transform it into such an inviting space. It's going to be great to have both sides of your art in one place. I find that my fabric/sewing stuff overlaps so much with my paper crafting stuff...and having it in two separate spaces (which I do) can be frustrating. Can't wait to see your studio when it's done!!

It was a good decision that you installed a French door for your art studio. It will surely provide style and grace to your studio. And you have to add the glorious ambiance it gives to the place as well. It will help you illuminate your studio interior's gentle brilliance.

Great progress. Have you finished this before the year was over? I noticed that the walls and French door are white. Will most of this studio be white? I can’t wait to see you in action in this room. =) Roosevelt Franklin @ Clear Choice Windows and More
