New Quilt/Old Quilt

So, I decided to reach back into my quilting side of the brain....I have really missed the hummm of my sewing machine...and working with fabric. I going to do "New quilt/Old quilt" blog posts. For every new quilt I start....an old one has to finish. I will work on both of them at the same time...and give updates on both as I go along. There are sooo many wonderful patterns out there...and I want to play!!! But, I don't want to fall way behind on the UFOs. So, here is the first set of New quilt/Old quilt for the year 2014.

New Quilt

I LOVE Judy Niemeyer patterns....I have at least 6 of them. I am going to make the "Pepperdish Quilt". Paper piecing is my favorite type of sewing on the planet!!!! Super easy and fun!!! Now , lets pick fabric.....
Like the yellow background...will stick with that.
Like the red flowers...but, I think I will use teals, and black and white to finish off my quilt.
Now, I must cut the papers, and cut the fabric into pieces to paper piece with....
stay tuned....

OLD Quilt
Remember this quilt...I finished the binding...but NEVER put the sleeve on it so I could hang it in my bedroom!!!!! So, this is the UFO I am determined to see where it is supposed to be...on my WALL.
.....working on the sleeve now:):)

Okay that is it for me today...I will give an update in a few days. With each post you will probably see the New quilt stay the same as I work on it...but the Old quilt will change often as I finish them:):)
In fact I could probably get 4 UFOs done while I'm working on this one quilt:):)
AWESOME!!!!

Until next time....

I love the pepperdish quilt too! So colorful! (wait - isn't that *colorful* our middle names) I'm so, so very tempted to run out and find that pattern and start on it too. In the meanwhile, I love the idea of old quilt/new quilt. I ought to steal that idea too. LOL

Your "old" quilt is amazing! I'm sure you will love to see it hanging up. I'll look forward to seeing the "new" one as you finish it!
