Welcome to my studio!!!! I am so happy that you decided to stop by. I am linking this post up with Karen Valentine's ....
Where Blogger's Create 2015. This will be my 4th year participating :0)
I love all kinds of art....mixed media, quilting, book binding, and art journaling. It is my hope that you will stay for a bit and have a look around. I am super blessed to have 2 different studio's in my home. A Mixed Media studio and a Quilting studio.
As most of you know I moved back to Florida in August last year... (I can't believe it's almost been a year) ....and I would have to say my new home is nice and settled...and I LOVE it :0)
Let's start this tour with my Mixed Media Studio.
On the left is the entry way into my Mixed Media studio...in the middle is the potty...and to the right is my Quilting studio.
My constant art companions Daisy and Zoey.
My main station...or the Captain's chair of this Star ship ...hehe!!!
Every piece of old furniture you are seeing...I bought second hand and used Annie Sloan chalk paint on it, and then distressed it with a power sander...in total 16 pieces in the studios and the house.
My Rolodex holder is full ...I did the swapping on IG to fill it up. YEAH!!!
My other constant art companion...Bella
My paint station.
My collection of art journals.
More art journals...and my collection of old books at the top. (The collection grew way bigger than that top shelf...LOL!!!!)
Now we are back in the hallway....
The stair case in the hall houses my treasured "Happy IG Heart Canvas" ....and more old books.
More art and one of my quilt ladders holding quilts I have made.
Art potty...and my button collection. And the entry to my Quilting studio.
The back corner with the TV is the Captain's chair of the quilting room :0)
Fabric!!! I have it every where!!! And my cutting/pressing station.
When I need a planning board I pull them out and place them here so I can work on different quilt projects. How I made these boards from the hardware store...is a free tutorial...click
HERE and you can see how I made them.
I'm a Bernina girl all the way..."Nothing sews like a Bernina!" I call them Mama Nina and Baby Nina!!! I even hung my rulers up on the wall.
My vintage collection. Laces, doilies, and trims. Again this cubby was a dark stained wood...and I attacked it with Annie Sloan chalk paint and my sander :0)
More fabric...and my planning boards tucked away.
Behind the curtains...more stuff that I need but don't necessarily need to see it.
In this photo you can see my Mixed Media studio through the door on the left.
The reason why I loved this house was because these two rooms were nice and BIG...lots of room to spread out.
Well folks...You have just walked through my HAPPY SPACE.
I am here all day... everyday :0)
The only thing that could make me happier with my little world...is when friends come and join me here. Which I am happy to say happens often :0)
Thanks so much for stopping by... Click
