Pets On Quilts 2015

Welcome to my blog....Today I am linking up with Pets on Parade with Lily Pad Quilting
This is where we as quilters do our best to get our wiggly pets to hold still long enough to get a photo of them on a quilt...that we usually shoo them off of. (which I am sure has the wee ones confused :0)
So, here are my babies on the only quilt that I'm working on at the moment.
... I have joined in on the Tumbler QAL with Bonnie Hunter. Before my surgery I cut out over 1000 tumbler blocks...and have slowly been piecing it together.
As I am stuck on my couch...the photo shoot happened right here on my lap...hehe :0)

First up..... my little Daisy
Second up.... Zoey....(she is Daisy's Mom...you can see Daisy photo bombing her Momma :0)
And lastly my BIG girl... Bella.

As for me...I am still on the couch...It has been 5 weeks since my surgery. I am doing well. But I am still in the "No Walking Zone". I can't start walking again for another 7 weeks. My sewing machine is right here next to me...and I try and sew for a bit every day. My art journals are laying next to me as well.
Can't keep an artist from making art...or snuggling with her poodles :0)

Thanks for stopping by.... click HERE to go back over to the linky party.

The sweet looks on the faces of your puppies Sandie just tugs at my heart. I'm sorry you are laid up like that. It sure seems like you know how to make the best of things. It helps to have furry pals to keep you company. Heal well!

WOW, I had no idea you had to be off your feet for that long. It is a good thing that you can do a few things to keep you from going nuts, as my Daughter says. She is back to work, but she is going to have another surgery soon and will be back on her couch for a few more weeks. Your pets look so cute on the cute.

Hi Sandie! Hope you get well soon! Your puppies are the cutest! I love Boodles; is Bella 'medium' or 'big'? Beautiful quilt, too! I miss to make a quilt with lots of colours and squares. x Teje

Oh, they're beautiful! Thanks for pointing out the photo bomb, I would have missed it and it made me smile. Thank goodness for them, they're probably helping you from going stir crazy while you're laid up.

You're making great progress! I have cut out ~25 tumblers for my bag, I'm trying to make a 2.5" scrappy one as well, but don't have a lot of scraps. So it may take me all year just to get the tumblers cut! Glad to see your pups keeping you in good company :)

I am so impressed with all that you are doing from your perch. It must be so hard sitting there and you still have so long to go. The great thing is that you are not letting any moss grow under your butt, LOL. Keeping projects going and your sweet pups to keep you company has got to be considered a blessing. Here's wishing you a happy 7 weeks, filled with joy, peace and lots of art and stitching :)
Keep up the marvelous attitude.
Your blogging sister,
Connie :)

Wow, such adoration for you in those puppy dog eyes...especially the big one, Bella. I see the same look in my girls eyes too and it makes my heart melt. On another note...lovely colourful quilt...very industrious of you to do that much with your leg as it is.

Poodles are one of my favorite dogs and your trio really takes the cake. All so cute and photogenic!
I've been stuck on the couch before too, so I hope you heal quickly and get back to your regularly scheduled programming soon!

What sweet pups! I love what you've accomplished so far with your tumblers--gotta love Bonnie and all her goodness! Sorry to hear you are couch-bound for the long haul. I had a similar situation and was non-weight bearing for 3 months so I feel your pain. Hang in there!
