Mini Twist

So...this mini has been on my wish list for years!!! I have recently made myself more wall room in my Quilt Studio...and I wanted to hang some vintage metal letters that spell out SEW and hang mini quilts all around the letters. Mini quilts I have made or swapped for.

This pattern looks hard ...but it is not. It starts with just squares. Then you use the tiny ruler to chop apart what you just sewed. And when you sew it back together...you get the twist.!!!
I like to call this pattern ...The  Incredible Shrinking Pattern!!! LOL!!! It will shrink like 3 times before the quilt is finally made. The first photo of just squares and a border... was about 25 inches.

When you get this all sewn together again....it finishes at 10" inches!!!

That is 100 one inch squares!!! Yikes!!!

But, I am totally happy with this little guy!!!

All quilted...and hanging on my Mini wall.

Thanks for stopping by!!!

It is beautiful and cute - I couldn't put all that work into a 10" quilt - but glad you are happy with it :p

Very, VERY pretty. And the quilting really makes it cuter.

That's so cute! Great idea for your sewing wall! I've made a twister quilt before but I used the large ruler. I didn't realize it could get so small!
Happy New Year!
