It's personnel and rewarding and mine all at the same time. No wrong or right....and believe me , I can't draw but there is so much more to journaling than drawing! Dear Sandra
I Art Journal as a form of therapy, you see I have Fibromyalgia as well as bad arthritis and a few other conditions.
I have always loved art so my social worker suggested doing it as a way to manage my pain and depression and I have to say due to wonderful teachers like you I have managed quite well since my diagnosis in 2003.

First off, I have to be honest...I don't 'art journal'...I may at times draw up pics in my binder, which I use for my art quilts....but, I have a friend who does journal but doesn't read blogs. If I would win, it would be given to her! I may ask to look at the book on her laptop just to take a peak!!!
congrats for being part of this cool looking online magazine!

Congratulations, Sandie! I'm tickled to pieces for you! You know I follow you, and I always enjoy checking out what you're working on. You are an inspiration! I don't yet art journal, but I'm working my way up to it. That white, blank page just intimidates the bejeezes outta me!

Hello Sandra, and a "Big Congratulations"
I art journal for the joy of it and so that one day when I'm gone and my daughter and granddaughters go through my stuff . . . they will remember me for my fun and creative side. I want to show them that making art is a way of life, not to be judged and juried, but to be enjoyed. That they would see that there is a joy in the process and in the sharing.

Congrats on being published!!!
So fun when that happens!
I love the freedom of being able to do journaling for me. Not a worry about selling potential, what the family and friends will think when they get a piece, just what do I feel like and what do I want to put here....? I love your inspiring posts and look forward to each one. Hugs!
