RJR Fabric Mini

I absolutely loved RJR's Cotton Supreme Solid fabric line!!! I used it to make the Big tree quilt. I decided to take some of the leftovers and make a mini for a give-a-way. And I had no pattern I just randomly started cutting the fabrics. Before I knew it....a square in a square started to emerge.

Then I match-stitch quilted it.

Ta-Da!!! All done. I held the give-a-way on my Instagram account. The winner already has it hanging in her house and loves it.

I'm happy she loves it :0)

I'm even happier that I had enough fabric to make a second mini for Me. Same blocks above I just need to sew them together :0)

What do you do with your leftovers?
I like this idea of making a mini with them :0)

My Toy-Sewing Machine Collection

I have a HUGE crush on these toy Sewing machines!!! They are so stinkin' cute!!! I have started a collection of them. I only have 9. They are very hard to find... and they are not cheap! So, I have set myself some rules so I don't go bankrupt in collecting them...LOL!!!

#1- I have to find them in person...No shopping online.
#2- Have a budget...I stay under 65.00 dollars for these little guys.

And because of these two collection is small. I could find them all over the Internet, but almost all of them are over 85.00 - 100.00 and sometimes even higher. So, my collection is small. And I love it.

I have paired each of my little machines with a quiltie that I made years ago. This one I also added a vintage toy poodle.

This one has another thing I love... wooden spools!!
And sometimes I am blessed by wonderful friends that give these machines as this baby was gifted to me by Karen Valentine.

And this baby was spotted by my Hubby. He was very proud of himself to have found it.

And finally the first one that started my obsession...I came across this little baby and had to have her. And now when I go junking or antique shopping...I'm always on the look out.

Thanks for stopping by....I can't believe we are in 2017!!!
But, okay....Let's do this...Here's to a wonderful Art making year!!!
